Now that you have created scenes, understand shot, angles and storytelling, it is time to start planning your own 1 minute movie. This is the pre-production stage of your movie.

Production Tip – Can your film work without dialogue? If so this will make your film less complicated to film andallow you to focus on the visual elements. If you are going to include dialogue – keep it simple! Make sure that you can capture the audio well and check it regularly as you are filming.
Now we want you to come up with an idea for your movie. To help you do this answer the following questions.
- What do you have in your environment that you can use? Can you shoot outdoors? Do you only have your room to use? Write a few locations you have at your disposal that might work as a set
- Find an object that you can use as a prop. One item. This will be incorporated into your movie …somehow!
