What is The Creative Media Passport (CMP) ?

The CMP is an award-winning, school-delivered programme designed to give Transition Year students hands-on experience in digital storytelling, video production, podcasting, graphic
design, and photography.

Students work towards an SCQF Level 5 qualification, recognised across Europe (equivalent to QQI NFQ Level 4 in Ireland), while developing creativity, teamwork, and communication skills.

We provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support for teachers, so you can confidently deliver the programme — no media or tech background required.

How Does It Work?

The Creative Media Passport is an online course that is structured into engaging, hands-on modules that blend theory with practical application. Teachers receive a comprehensive handbook with detailed lesson plans, guiding students through structured classroom activities and collaborative group projects. Each module introduces key concepts in digital media, from storytelling to production, with students applying their skills through real-world tasks. By the end of the course, students will have created a professional portfolio showcasing their work, equipping them with valuable experience for further education or career pathways.
